How it works
Three steps, zero online payment
Most car-rental sites take your money the moment you book. We don't. You reserve for free, a real person confirms your car on WhatsApp, and you pay only when you're standing next to it at the airport.
Book online — €0 charged
Choose your car, dates and pickup airport and submit the booking. No card is required and nothing is taken from your account. Add your flight number so we can track your arrival.
WhatsApp confirmation
A member of our team messages you in English or French to confirm the car, the meeting point and the handover time. That human reply is your guarantee — ask us anything.
Pay at pickup
Meet your car at arrivals, sign the contract, and pay in cash or by card. A refundable deposit is held and released when you return the car in the same condition.
Direct vs booking platforms
Why we can offer this and the big platforms can't
International aggregators sit between you and the local supplier, so they take payment up front to protect their margin. Renting directly with the local company removes that layer — and with it, the prepayment.
| TunisiaCar (direct) | Booking aggregators | |
|---|---|---|
| Payment to book | €0 — pay at pickup | Full amount charged online |
| Free cancellation | Yes, up to 24h before | Often partial refund or fee |
| Pay in cash | Yes (EUR or TND) | Card only |
| Who confirms you | Real person on WhatsApp | Automated email / call centre |
| Local price | Direct, no booking margin | Local rate + platform fee |
Be clear on this
No prepayment — but there is a refundable deposit
"No prepayment" means we don't charge the rental in advance. It does not mean "no deposit". Like every serious rental company, we hold a refundable security deposit at pickup, returned in full when you bring the car back as agreed.
Prepayment ≠ deposit. The deposit is a temporary hold against damage or fuel, taken at the desk and released after return — not a payment. See the exact amount for each car category, plus insurance and fuel terms, on our car rental costs page.
